Justin Crotty
CEO
Justin became CEO of Anaqua in 2025. He joined Anaqua in 2016 as CFO and was appointed COO in 2018. As CEO, Justin makes strategic decisions and drives the company’s strategic plans and execution. He serves on Anaqua’s Board of Directors alongside Nordic Capital and acts as an executive sponsor for clients and prospects. Additionally, Justin is a board member at Copyright Clearance Center.
Before Anaqua, Justin was a partner at Oliver Wyman, advising on growth and M&A initiatives. His prior experience spans private equity, investment banking, software development, and corporate development across the US, Europe, and Asia.
Aileen Buchanan
SVP, IP Services
Aileen is a qualified U.S. Patent Agent with a background in genetics and molecular biology. Prior to joining Anaqua, Aileen ran a large patent department, held leadership positions at CPA Global and ran a consulting operation with a focus in IP processes optimization, off/near shore consultancy, IP software implementations and patent analytics and landscaping.
Carlos Carvajal
Chief Marketing Officer
Carlos has over 20 years of experience leading enterprise B2B marketing and product teams. Prior to Anaqua, he served as CMO at Q2, K2 Software, and Kony, where he led brand strategy, demand generation, and product marketing to accelerate growth and strengthen market positioning.
Dave McEvoy
General Counsel
Dave joined Anaqua in 2019. Over the past 25 years, Dave has served as General Counsel for several public and private software companies, including SeaChange International, ATG, VeriFone, and The Learning Company/Broderbund. Dave also spent time at Mattel and Oracle following acquisitions and served as the Group General Counsel of The Gores Group in Los Angeles, where he managed the intellectual property of the portfolio companies. Dave has extensive experience in the software industry in the areas of privacy, security, intellectual property, software licensing, and customer service issues.
Erik Bailey
Chief Information Officer
Erik came to Anaqua in 2006 as a Senior Director of Engineering; since then, he has held leadership positions in Client Support and R&D until moving into the CIO role in 2019. Erik has over 30 years of combined experience in software development, quality assurance, system implementation, and global information technology. Prior to joining Anaqua, Erik earned a degree from Brown University and worked at companies including Cambridge Technology Partners and Wolters Kluwer.
Eldon Richards
Chief Technology Officer
As Chief Technology Officer, Eldon brings more than 30 years of global technology leadership experience across global software, SaaS, and AIdriven organizations. He leads Anaqua’s engineering and quality teams and drives the company’s technical strategy as it accelerates its transformation into an AIfirst, cloudnative IP management platform. Prior to joining Anaqua, Eldon served as CTO at Solifi and held senior leadership roles at Recondo Technology, PatientPoint, and OptumInsight, where he delivered largescale product innovation and enterprise modernization initiatives.
James Rochette
Chief Financial Officer
James joined Anaqua in 2022, after 5 years as CFO of OROLIA and closing of the sale of Eurazeo Private Equity majority stake to Safran. He brings 25+ years of experience in leading financial strategies in both private equity-backed and publicly traded companies. In addition, James has successful M&A experience both in sales and raising equity. James began his career in France and relocated to the metro Washington DC area in 2017.
Jonathan Newcombe
SVP, Global Sales
Jonathan has over 20 years of experience in the IP industry, working with corporate and IP law firm departments around the globe. Prior to Anaqua, Jonathan's career started in IT Enterprise project management for Fujitsu, then the software localization market and sales leadership roles at CPA Global.
Kazuyasu Adachi
General Manager, APAC and President, Japan
Kazuyasu brings over 30 years of IP industry expertise, holding leadership roles, including 25 years at Panasonic as President and Representative Director of Panasonic IP Management Co., Ltd. At Suntory Holdings, he managed diverse IP activities, emphasizing strategic IP use for business creation. His experience encompasses global IP management and dispute resolution across Europe, the U.S., and Asia, including South Korea and China, in addition to Japan.
Kyle Halks
VP, Head of Corporate Development
Kyle joined Anaqua in 2016 and leads its corporate development function, responsible for executing against the company’s value creation plan and driving organic and inorganic growth initiatives, including M&A and partnerships. Earlier in his career, Kyle worked in investment advisory at Cambridge Associates. Kyle holds an MBA from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, where he was an Edward Tuck Scholar, and a BA in Mathematical Economics from Colgate University.

As Chief Customer Officer, Paul leads Anaqua’s Client Success, Support, and Professional Services teams, ensuring every customer engagement delivers measurable value. With more than 25 years in enterprise software, he is recognized for designing customer-centric strategies that elevate the client experience and drive retention and growth. Paul excels at integrating complex post-sale organizations and scaling global teams to enhance outcomes and help clients achieve lasting success, making him a key driver of Anaqua’s next phase of customer-focused growth.
Ryan Blackwell
Chief Revenue Officer
As Chief Revenue Officer, Ryan is responsible for driving high‑quality, scalable revenue growth. He focuses on strengthening Anaqua’s commercial infrastructure and enhancing consistency, scalability, and operational excellence across all revenue‑generating functions.
Ryan is a seasoned revenue leader with extensive experience overseeing global commercial organizations of 300 to more than 3,000 employees and managing revenue portfolios ranging from $250 million to $2.1 billion annually. He brings deep private equity operating expertise, having partnered with multiple portfolio companies to accelerate growth and implement best‑in‑class commercial practices.
Susan Grover
VP, Human Resources
Susan joined Anaqua in 2017 and has 15+ years of global Human Resources experience, spanning multiple hi-tech business units. Her role involves supporting business goals while building and maintaining relationships in a multicultural professional environment. As VP of Human Resources at Anaqua, she leads a team that spans the U.S., Europe, and APAC.
Toni Nijm
Chief Product Officer
Toni Nijm is Chief Product Officer at Anaqua and former CEO of RightHub. A serial entrepreneur and IP expert, he previously held senior roles at CPA Global and co-founded Ipendo. With a background in law, physics, and engineering, Toni brings deep expertise in intellectual property and innovation strategy.

Aditya Desaraju
Aditya joined Nordic Capital in August 2020. He joined from UBS Investment Bank where he worked as an Executive Director in the TMT practice focusing on Software & Internet transactions from 2015-2020. Prior to that, Adi worked as an Associate at Bank of America Merrill Lynch from 2011 to 2015.
He has also had experience working for the Royal Bank of Scotland, American Express International and Hewlett Packard. Adi holds a M.Sc. in Financial Economics from the University of Oxford, Said Business School as well as a B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Visvesvaraya Technological University, India.
Fredrik Näslund
Fredrik has been with Nordic Capital for over 20 years and has been the responsible advisor for more than 25 platform investments across the Technology & Payments and Healthcare sectors. Fredrik heads the Technology & Payments team and is Chief Investment Process Officer. He is also part of the Review Committee. Over the last fifteen years, Fredrik has devoted significant effort in building Nordic Capital’s position as the leading private equity investor in the Technology & Payments sector, including companies like Point, Bambora, Itiviti, CINT and Trustly. Prior to joining, Fredrik was part of the management team of Capio in various leadership positions. Fredrik holds an MSc in Engineering Physics from the Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg and an MSc in Business Administration from the School of Economics and Commercial Law, University of Gothenburg.

Bob is the retired CEO of Anaqua. Prior to Anaqua, Bob served as CEO of LexisNexis, Research & Litigation Solutions (RLS) and spent 20 years in various senior executive positions with Thomson Reuters as both CFO and SVP of Operations. Bob brings over 25 years of leadership experience in the information, software and services industry. Bob's expertise is in investing for growth, bringing software & services businesses through customer-led transformations to become industry leaders in client satisfaction.
